Veraguas
This still poorly-known area is a destination for nature lovers. Santa Fé, located on the highest part of the area, is a small and well-preserved town to be discovered walking or horseback riding among waterfalls, orchids, and coffee plants; the church of San Francissco de La Montaña is worth the journey and will please the admirers of baroque religious art. The Coiba island, classified by the UNESCO, is outstanding for its underwater world. The visitors can also watch the humpback whales.
