Coronado Beach is located only 1:15 hours from Panama City by road on the western Pacific Coast of Panama.  Coronado is the only 5 star resort in Panama with one of the best golf courses in Latin America.

Taboga Island, located 15 kilometers off Panama's Pacific Coast directly out from the entrance of the Panama Canal, has a long and colorful history.  In the Pre-Colombian period it was the site of an important Indian settlement.  Later, at the start of the Spanish Colonial Period in the 1500's it was used by Francisco Pizarro to built and provisions his fleet for the Conquest of Peru.  In the 19^th Century, Taboga was the headquarters of the Pacific Steam Navigation Co., a British firm which ran passenger and cargo ships down the West Coast of South America and up from Panama to California.  Taboga was the temporary home of the french impressionist painter Paul Gaugin. The Taboga Beach Resort and Hotel has 60 rooms, a swimming pool, 2 restaurants, volleyball and basketball courts, tropical gardens and a well maintained beach area with paddle boats for rent.  It also has a dive/snorkeling shop on the premises where complete diving gear and tanks can be rented and a qualified dive master is available.  The visibility for diving and snorkeling around Taboga is normally good with large fish being the main attraction.

Contadora is one of the islands of the Pearls Archipelago on the Pacific Gulf of Panama. Beautiful white sandy beaches and coral reefs make this island one of the favorites for fishing and snorkeling.
