Arrival at Tocumen international airport in Panama City. First contact with the country. You will have a private transfer to your hotel. Please hand your travel documents.

Day 2: Panama city - Miraflores water locks - Casco Antiguo - Panama city
Your driver will pick you up at your hotel for a city tour of Panama City.
Our first stop of the day will be in Panama La Vieja, first capital of the country before it was destroyed by the famous pirate Henry Morgan.
Then, we will head to the must-see Panama Canal and the Miraflores Locks. The visitor center offers a view on transiting vessels of all sorts (container ships, cruise ships, or tiny yachts). It explains the history of the Canal and how the locks work.
We will end our day with a tour in the Casco Antiguo. This bohemian center of Panama City will make you travel in time and immerge into the the historical past of the country. Take a walk in the narrow streets bordered with colorful buildings leading to the Plaza de Francia. Discover the Art-Deco architecture, the cathedral and visit the Panama Canal Museum.
Note 1: the Canal Museum and Panama La Vieja are closed on Mondays.

Day 3: Panama city - Embera Community
Early in the morning, your driver will come and pick you up at your hotel for a transfer to the Embera community located close to the shores of Río Chagres for a day of sharing their traditions.
From the port of Corotú, you will embark on a motorized canoe towards one of the villages of the Embera community.
On the other side of the river, you will be welcomed by the “cacique” (spiritual leader) and the village children. All day long, you will discover their way of life and their traditions, such as the art of tattoos.
You will also have the opportunity to be introduced to their knowledge of medicinal herbs and see a performance of ancestral dances.
At last, you will be served a typical meal consisting of fish, served in banana leaves.
In the evening, you will watch the sun set on the river while chatting with local inhabitants.
Note: you will sleep in a hammock (basic comfort) but it is possible to ask to sleep in a bed.
Night in the community.

Day 4: Embera Community - Panama city
You will share a last meal with the community before leaving them.
In the afternoon, your driver will pick you up at the pier to return to Panama City.

Day 5: Panama city - Playa Gorgona - Santa Catalina
In the morning, you will leave for a day on the road, more specifically on the Pan-American Highway, towards Veraguas Province.
On your way, if time permits, you should make a detour to visit the baroque church in the picturesque village of San Francisco de La Montaña.
You will arrive in the region of Santiago and turn off to Santa Catalina.
You will then reach the small town of Soná and continue until El Tigre de San Lorenzo.
Note: approximately 5-hour drive.
Night at Sol y Mar Hotel **.

Day 6: Playa Gorgona - Santa Catalina
This day will be dedicated to the discovery of the islands. You will be able to dive and snorkel around the most beautiful island of the archipielago.
You will visit the main island, the museum, the mirador, and hike on the various trails.

Night at Sol y Mar Hotel **.

Day 7: Playa Gorgona - Volcán
You will have free time before heading to the Chiriqui Province.
You will go to David and continue towards the hills until the village of Volcan, close to La Amistad International Park.
Note: 5 to 6-hour drive.

Day 8: Volcán
You can spend the day at leisure, walking or driving through Guadalupe and its surroundings.
This region is the ideal starting point to go hiking in the nature, horseback riding, or visit coffee and orchid plantations.
There are a handful of activities: climbing up the Barú Volcano for sportsmen and women, hiking on the Quetzal trail for nature and bird lovers, rafting on the Chiriqui River for adventurers.

Day 9: Volcán

You will drive to the port of Almirante, the way to get to the Caribbean Archipelago.
On the way, you will see the various landscapes of the Cordillera de Talamanca and the Caribbean coast and you will observe the houses of the Guayamy Indians

Go to the port of Almirante and embark on a motorized boat heading to Isla Colón.

You will take a flight to Panama City.
Note 1: Luggage weight limit is around 12 kg per person for checked baggage and 2 kg for cabin baggage. 2 USD/extra kilo.
Note 2: There are three flights every day (7:40, 16:55, 17:15), duration: between 55 and 80 minutes.
Transfer from Gelabert Airport (Albrook) to Tocumen International Airport for your international flight.
Note: depending on your flight schedule, plan a night in Panama City the day before departure.
